1. About these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Chatfarm (“we”, “us”, the “Service”). The Service includes the Chatfarm website, dashboard, AI assistants hosted on a Chatfarm subdomain (*.chatfarm.co), assistants on a custom domain pointed at our infrastructure, embedded chat widgets, and related APIs.
By creating an account, deploying an assistant, chatting with an assistant, or embedding a widget, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. Accounts and organizations
A Chatfarm account lets you create organizations, invite teammates, and deploy assistants. You are responsible for the activity under your account, for keeping login credentials confidential, and for the content, configuration, and conduct of every assistant you create.
You must have the right to upload or connect any documents, websites, or data you add to a knowledge base.
3. Assistants, knowledge, and website crawls
You may train an assistant on files you upload and on pages you ask Chatfarm to fetch. In sitemap mode, Chatfarm reads the sitemap you provide, discovers listed page URLs up to the limit you set, and ingests those pages into the knowledge base. In crawl mode, Chatfarm follows links from a starting URL up to the depth and page cap you set.
You must only crawl or ingest sites you own or are authorized to index. You must respect robots rules, access controls, and applicable law. Chatfarm may refuse, throttle, or stop a crawl that appears abusive or unsafe.
4. Public chat, widgets, and access modes
An assistant can be offered on a Chatfarm URL, a custom domain, or an embeddable widget on your website. Widget visitors chat anonymously unless you require sign-in. A widget only accepts messages when the assistant is active, the widget is enabled, and its access mode allows public visitors.
If you set an assistant to private, password, invite-only, or domain-restricted access, anonymous widget visitors cannot use it until you change that setting.
5. Use of AI assistants
Replies are generated by third-party language models using your configured knowledge and instructions. Answers can be wrong, incomplete, or outdated. Do not rely on an assistant for medical, legal, financial, or other decisions without independent verification.
You must not use the Service to generate content that is illegal, harmful, deceptive, or that infringes someone else’s rights.
6. Acceptable use
- No abuse, harassment, hate speech, or threats.
- No attempts to bypass security controls, rate limits, passwords, or access lists.
- No scraping, automated probing, or load testing without prior written consent.
- No use of the Service to build a competing product from our outputs or infrastructure.
- No crawling of third-party sites without authorization, and no upload of data you are not allowed to process.
7. Content and ownership
You retain ownership of the data, prompts, and documents you submit. You grant Chatfarm a non-exclusive licence to host, process, and transmit that content solely to provide the Service. We do not train foundation models on your private content.
8. Service availability
We work to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uptime on every plan. We may suspend or remove assistants that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe place visitors, data, or the Service at risk.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chatfarm disclaims all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chatfarm’s aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD 100 if you have not paid us anything. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will give reasonable notice through the Service or by email. Continued use after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
